DFM 2500 is a modular droplet separator
system for installation behind cooling
coils. A set of top, bottom and sides profiles that are easily connected to each
other, build the droplet separator.
The modular system enables assembly
and installation of the separator almost
without the use of tools.
The cassette-design is ideal for new air
duct installations and for retrofitting existing
units.
Pitches of both 25 and 33 mm can be
accommodated in the same top and bottom
profile providing the additional advantage
of reduced inventory.
Behind cooling coils the DFM 2500 is the
droplet separator of choice. Condensed droplets could be carried over into the system. This carry-over can wet downstream filters, increasing pressure drop and reducing filter lifetime as well as carriage into the ductwork.
Eliminating moisture carry-over into the
ductwork reduces corrosion and maintenance, eliminates unsightly leakage from
HVAC outlets, and reduces the growth of
odour/mold causing possible pathogenic bacteria.
The unit is suitable for use at face velocities
between 2 and 5 m/s.
